Significant restoration work on the historic 1879 sanctuary building has been completed. Worship services with Holy Communion are held each Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., and Faith Formation classes for adults, youth, and children of all ages begin at 9:45. Facilities

The Church

Located on historic Wright Square at 120 Bull Street in Savannah, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension celebrated the 275th anniversary of its founding in 2016. An extensive restoration of the 1879 sanctuary building, including the steeple, was completed in 2018.

Captain Butler’s Retreat

Captain Butler's retreat on Whitemarsh Island offers a large indoor facility as well as a dock on Richardson Creek with deepwater access to the Bull River.
