During the fall of 2017, the restoration of our historic sanctuary continues and renovations to Crumley Hall are now underway. As we are currently unable to utilize our building on Sundays, we are holding our worship services and educational classes at Congregation Mickve Israel.

In 1734, protestant exiles from Salzburg, Austria, arrived in the new colony of Georgia and settled at Ebenezer – up river of the British in Savannah. They practiced Lutheran worship and sacraments, and as Savannah grew their pastors began coming to town to officiate various weddings…

Located on historic Wright Square at 120 Bull Street, Savannah, Georgia, the Lutheran Church of the Ascension celebrated the 275th anniversary of its founding in April 2016.

Captain Butler’s Retreat

Captain Butler's retreat on Whitemarsh Island offers a large indoor facility as well as a dock on Richardson Creek with deepwater access to the Bull River.
